As you consider casting your vote during our non-partisan, local election on April 1st, I ask you to ask yourself, . . . .
“ Why are each and every Candidate running for office and how are they funding their Candidacy ? ”
At the end of the day, this may be one of the most important questions to ask during any election season.
Why am I running for re-election as your Mayor . . . .
I serve for the 2 reasons …. for “love’ of our community and to help keep Mount Prospect a great place to live, work, and raise a family. I have viewed my service on the Village Board these past 34 years as my way of giving back to my community and moving our Village forward.
During my time as your Mayor, we have accomplished a great deal from intensifying our efforts around citizen safety, lowering the Village’s tax levy, eliminating the Vehicle Sticker program, significant economic development, a transformational redevelopment of downtown Mount Prospect, creating opportunities for redevelopment in South Mount Prospect, flood control, creating and funding an Economic Emergency Fund, and maintaining an extremely strong fiscal position, all while keeping a solid sense of local community with a focus toward protecting our neighborhoods. After all, our neighborhoods are the backbone of our Village.
There is more to accomplish, and I would like to contribute to our progress by serving the people of Mount Prospect as your Mayor for another 4 years.
I am running for re-election as your Mayor to keep the positive momentum going by promoting growth through economic development which is key to a strong, vibrant, and financially sound community, promoting a healthy business community, insuring that our Village continues to provide high quality services such as police, fire, public works, and human services as these services are needed by the citizens of Mount Prospect every day, insuring a transparent and open-minded Village government and process, maintaining and protecting our Village’s extremely strong fiscal position, keeping a tight lid on property taxes, and spending our tax dollars wisely.
I believe I bring a consistent, open, forthright, common sense approach to Village government. That is my trademark approach. My actions and record over 34 years absolutely support this statement. I want to say to all the people of Mount Prospect, it would be one of the greatest honors of my life to continue to serve you, the people of Mount Prospect, as your Mayor for another 4 years.
Above all, please keep in mind that I am a non-partisan, independent, self-funded candidate with no ties to any political parties, groups, or individuals. I only answer to you, the citizens of Mount Prospect. Believe me when I say, I have only our best interests in mind at all times.
Paul Wm. Hoefert, Your Mayor
